1. The spread of Domestic elephant
The elephant is a social animal. It has to stay in the herd for learning and transferring all behaviors during its lifetime.

2. Unsuitable benefits of elephant

3. Lack of food
Normally, elephants need up to 200 kilograms a day. At present, domestic elephants lack enough food because the forest that used to be elephant food, has now changed to be used for commercial benefits.

4. Lack of veterinarians and experienced mahouts
Thailand still lacks veterinarian and experienced mahouts. When elephants get sick or injured, veterinarians and experienced mahouts cannot treat sick or injured elephant on time.

5. Injured elephants
The elephant is a big animal. The treatments need high technological equipment and even veterinarians. When elephants get sick or injured, veterinarians and all equipment have to get ready including budget paid for the urgent cases as well.
