The Institute receives many donations from concerned members of the general public who wish to help elephants. The FIO has used this money to establish a fund for elephants and manages contributions according to the wished of the donors. Some people, however, would like to sponsor individual elephants, so the Institute has begun an Elephant Adoption Program. Those interested in sponsoring an elephant (adopted elephant parents) have two option:

The donation may be made in installments or as a lump sum. If you would like to participate with others in sponsoring an elephant, you may donate 500 baht or more monthly, and include the name of the elephant you wish to sponsor. After the Institute receives your donation, we will send a letter of acknowledgement and deposit the money in the withdrawn only for use as earmarked, and the donors have the right to an accounting of their funds.
