Elephant Rehabilitation Center ( Last home for Elephant )
Pang La Elephant Rehabilitation Center is located at Pang La Village Km. 57 Lampang Ngao Rd., Ngao District in Lampang Province. It used to be a training center for young elephants; it has since become a retirement center for 26 elephants under the care of the Thai Elephant Hospital of The Elephant Conservation Center FIO. These elephants are all sick, old or crippled, and cannot walk or cannot work hard, retired elephant, confiscated elephant. Some are so dangerous that their owners cannot keep them, so the elephants are sent here. Confiscated elephants are still brought here as well. All these animals are cared for, by mahouts and veterinarians from the Institute. The expenses of caring for elephants are still brought here as well.
